This major log home manufacturers home was build only 2 1/2 years ago. Notice that this building already needs re-caulking because the logs --- in this case log siding --- are not kiln-dried and have no lap joint. This is the second time they have stained in two years, too. Poor quality log finish just doesn't last and doesn't protect. 

Since Strongwood uses only properly kiln-dried Eastern White Pine and a well-engineered assembly system, it is never necessary to install and maintain any exterior caulking in order to keep the house weather-tight.
